The NSW Minister for Skills and Training, Dr Geoff Lee, who launched the training program six months ago presented graduates with certificates at an on-site ceremony at the PAYCE urban renewal project Melrose Park.

The PAYCE Foundation has launched a fleet of mobile food trailers to give young people the chance to gain on-the-job training.

The food trailers are located on construction sites where they also provide a convenient café option.

PAYCE Foundation Director Dominic Sullivan congratulated the three graduates, Feven Ayalew, Georgia Griffith and Mat Malak on completing the course.

This is a great achievement and we wish them well in their careers ahead,” Mr Sullivan said.

“This Kick Start Café food trailer will be here for many years to come and your participation has shown how successful this project can be.

“We are keen for the development industry to support the growth of this training program across construction sites in Sydney.’’

The PAYCE Foundation has partnered with property fund manager and developer Charter Hall Group which has Kick Start Cafe food trailers at Smithfield and Prestons in Sydney’s south-west.

Graduate Georgia Griffith said the training program has provided her not only with job ready skills but confidence and great personal support.

‘’Everyone was so helpful and I am looking forward to getting a job and perhaps running my own café one day.”
